Sliders for cost factors

In this section, you will learn how to define global cost factors for the calculation of a part.

In costing24, you can find sliders in the calculation of a part, which you can use to define cost factors and therefore can affect the result of the calculation for parts.

When calculating a part, you can use the sliders to select the tendency for Hourly rate, Setup time, Cutting parameters, Additional time and Programming times from five or nine levels. The positions of the sliders are assigned factors which you can find in the Factors table.

Table 1. Factors
Feature low medium high
Hourly rate 1/1.3 1/1.15 1 1.15 1.3
Setup time 0.5 0.75 1 1.5 2
Cutting parameters 0.5 0.75 1 1.5 2
Additional time 0.5 0.75 1 1.5 2
Programming times 0.25 0.375 0.5 0.75 1 1.5 2.0 3,0 4.0
Note: In addition, you can set up the cost factors for individual machines. When calculating the costs of a part, the global cost factors multiplied by to the cost factors specific to the machine and used for the calculation of a part. See: Editing machine data
