Measuring

In this section, you will learn how to measure in the costing24 3D preview using a tutorial.

In the 3D preview, you can measure distances, angles, diameters and differences in order to determine the diameter of a shaft or the length of a part, for example. In models, you can mark the three object types face, edge and point. If two of these object types are marked, a result will be displayed. The result is influenced by the marked object types. This means that depending on the marked objects, a distance or angle is shown, for example.

Which dimensions can I determine in the 3D preview?

Depending on the combination of the two selected objects (point, distance, edge, surface), you can determine different measurements. The following tables show the various combinations and corresponding measurements.

Note: The details in the tables are only valid, if two objects are marked in the 3D preview.
Note: Empty fields in the tables which do not contains any results from the measurements return the number of marked objects.
